Sightseeing with foreign students!

おはようございます！れなです。先日、オランダからの男女一人ずつの留学生とＭＳＢメンバー7人で宇治と伏見稲荷に行ってきました！

電車を降りて最初に見えて来たのが宇治橋です。紫式部像もあり、みんなで2人に説明しました。昔の位や生活の話を英語でするのは相当難しいですね。

そしてたどり着いたのがかの有名な中村藤吉！カフェは朝早くにも関わらずとても混んでいたので、テイクアウトで抹茶やほうじ茶のアイスを買って食べました。抹茶が濃厚で美味しかったです。2人も美味しそうに食べてましたね。

先輩が浴衣でいらっしゃって、私とましろちゃんは着物に着替えました！どの着物もかわいくて選ぶのに悩んでしまいました。ましろちゃんの黒色のシックな着物、とっても似合っててきれいでした。女性陣準備している間に男性陣は宇治上神社に行ったそうです。感想聞くのを忘れました。

みんな揃った後は本日の目玉、平等院鳳凰堂に行きました！天気も良くてとっても鳳凰堂が美しかったです。オランダのお2人に鳳凰について説明しようとしたら私よりもよく知ってました！！先日金閣に行ったらしく、そこで詳しく聞いたみたいですね〜私も京都のお寺や神社について、もっと豆知識を増やして、海外から来た人に伝えられるようになるべきだなと強く思いましたね。

その後みんなで伏見稲荷に向かって、千本鳥居を少しだけ登って、おもかる石を持ち上げました。自分が思ったよりも石が軽かったら願いが叶うみたいですね。Chingさんは思ったよりも軽かったと言っていたので願いをかなえられそうです。

最後は女子組と男子組に分かれて、私たちは宇治に戻って着物を返して、さらに伊藤久右衛門に行って、またまたパフェや、抹茶タルトをいただきました。こちらも濃厚な抹茶に感動です。食べた後はカフェについているお土産屋さんをみました。どれも美味しそうで選べませんでした！ましろちゃんも抹茶のおまんじゅうのようなものを買ってましたね。

帰りの電車では、ましろちゃんのオランダのお家にMSBでヨーロッパ旅行に行って泊まろうかなんて話をしたりしてまた楽しかったです⭐

名残惜しいけれどお2人はもうオランダに帰ってしまいます。とても美人でかつフレンドリーで話してると幸せな気持ちになるましろちゃんと、沢山話しかけて下さって本当に聞き上手で、優しいChingさんとの出会いは宝物です。こんな出会いこそがMSBの魅力ですね。

Good morning! I’m Lena. On October 27th, we visited Uji and Fushimiinari with students from the Netherlands, Mashiro and Ching.

Firstly, we found Uji bridge when we arrived at Uji station.The statue of Murasakishikibu was around the bridge. We explained to them about her, but It was really difficult for me to talk about how people in that period lived.

Then we went to Nakamuratokichi, which is one of the famous matcha cafés. It was so crowded, so we decided to buy ice cream and eat outside. Matcha was really tasteful. Dutch students also looked enjoying it.

Then, girls changed our clothes into kimono. Each kimono was so beautiful that It was difficult to choose the best one. Black kimono matched Mashiro and it doubled her beauty. While we were preparing, men went to Ujigami shrine. I forgot to ask them about how they felt.(-_-;)

After that we visited Byodoin-hoodo. The temple was shining reflecting the sun light on the pond. When I tried to explain about phoenix to Dutch students, I found that they knew about it more deeply than me. They said that they went to Kinkaku and learned about it in detail! I strongly thought that I have to get much more knowledge about shrines or temples in Kyoto and make foreign students surprised or excited through telling it.

We went to Fushimiinari afterward. We climbed the stairs for a while and lifted up a stone called “omokaruishi”. It is said that we can realize our dream if the stone is lighter than we expected. Ching said that it was lighter, so he will be able to grant some dream!

Lastly, we were devided into girl’s group and boy’s group. We, girls went back to Uji, returned kimono and went to Itokyuemon. We ate parfait or matcha tart. We were impressed with their taste. We looked around the shop next to the café. All souvenirs looked delicious.

In the train to come back around Kyoto university, we were talking about the plan to visit the Netherlands with MSB members and stay at Mashiro’s house! I hope this plan will be realized.

It is sad, but they return to their own country soon. It was my treasure to be friends with Mashiro, who is beautiful and makes me happy and excited while talking and Ching, who actively talks to us a lot and is a kind and good listener. Such encounter is the attractive point of our club,MSB!!! Thank you.
